Information
- Our program began in 1979 and has been ongoing since 1985, assisting refugees from 27 countries to date.
- The program coordinator will speak with any potential sponsor group located in Southern Ontario
- After an agreement is signed at Citizenship and Immigration Canada office in your area, the lengthy process that includes interview, security check and medical exam is conducted by a Canadian High Commission embassy. The process for successsful refugees to advance through all Stages is 18 months but is subject to varriation.

Recent Events
Previous to creating this web site in November of 2002, the three most recent/regular events pertaining to our program are:
- An Afghanistan refugee family arrived after the normal processing time. After their arrival we obtained furniture and other essential goods to furnish their apartement (sponsored).
- A young Somali woman that suffered terrible wounds in 1991 during the civil war / anarchy in her homeland that still gives her ongoing pain, is waiting to be interviewed by our embassy (sponsored).
- Help is constantly provided to assist refugees in asylum obtain resettlement consideration interviews.
