The objective of the Refugee Assistance Program since it's inception in 1979, has been to constantly try our best to help refugees. The variety of ways this has been done are considerable.
This web site is an effort to reach more concerned Canadians as the need to help refugees is ongoing.
Often, our involvement has included contact with our embassies and UNHCR branch offices.
INDIVIDUALS that want to help are urged to talk with other members of church they belong to or an organization such as a service club or a professional group of people.
A group of not less than 5 interested people in a community can become a sponsor group if they have the financial ability. If a refugee acquires self supporting employment after arrival the financial committment to sponsor is reduced.
